Two of you go to the front and put one hand on the bottom of the forklegs and another on the bars.
One person in the van to stabilise it when the fronts in, One person at the back keeping it stable during the front getting lifted in.
Person in the van holds it stable while the other 3 lift the back in (id recomend from the back footpegs and a rack if it has one), But be careful if you have to rest it on the exhaust half way.
Once in i'd wheel it towards the front left of the van and have the front wheel tucked into the corner and put the sidestand down. Then i'd get about 4/5 straps and secure it to the van, should be cool ____________________ www.oldskoolsuzuki.info |

I have used some ladders in the past, it does not matter what they are (wood or alley)BUT make sure you support the middle with a box of some sort (bumps ou the rungs )dont try it alone |

two planks, one person in the van, ready to pull it in and two on either side at the back, one primarily just pushing the rear and the other pushing whilst guiding.
It is a very unnerving thing to do though, when it's a bike you've JUST bought....or even worse, a bike you've just sold. |

HOLD ON ,
this smells iffy , surely buying a bike it ought to run , and hence unless it doesn't have MOT / Insurance , you'd be able to ride it home ,
why else would somebody want to life a bike into the back of a van ? , bikes can move themselves and I can see that riding it being so much easier.....
that said bandits aren't exaclt worth a fortune it being an older non 650 version
damn I'm paranoid (and no I don't smoke weed) ,
Just don't be answering posts of the nature , which say something along the lines of:
I chained my bike up but lost the key to the padlock |

Try THIS THREAD.
I asked the same question when I was going to do the same thing, but in the end didn't need a van.
Some good information there |

Last year 3 of us lifted an SV650S into the back of a van (quite a high loading bay too!) ... took us about 20 seconds, really brough it home how easy it is to nick a bike that's not chained to anything... 3 people and it lifted straight into the van without too much hassle whatsoever... obviously we weren't nicking it but if it's that quick to do.. imagine nicking a bike like that? pull up, jump out, lift bike into van, drive off with 1 person in back strapping bike down and shutting it up (alarm!)
Easy.... so chain your bikes to things!!! |

Cancel the booking of the transit and book a luton van with a tail lift. Less hassle. ____________________ Past >>>> Honda NSR 125 >>>> Suzuki GSXR 600 K1 >>>> Suzuki GSXR 600 K4 >>>>Kawasaki Z1000 DAF >>>>Suzuki RMZ 250 >>>> Current >>>> KTM Superduke R 1290 >>>> |
