The two first ports of call should be Biketrader and ebay.

Looking for one too.

Apart from a crash damaged one on ebay, I'm still looking to find another!

Weird huh, ebay was full of them a few months back. Well, the faired k series anyway.

Hi

Probably still a bit close to Christmas for a good selection, although prices of what is for sale should be low.

All the best

You tried a hornet? Few for sale on the nest if you fancy it.

Firefox....

If you read his original post, you'd notice he was after:

A black one
A faired one
And you could have somewhat guessed, a 600.

Kinda missed the lot there, didn't you. Laughing Go to bed!

Hornet is the sporty unfaired bike, designed to be a bit fashionable. The CBF is the commuter bike.

All the best

And their engines are tuned differently one would presume, better low down and midrange for the CBF I can only imagine.

I wouldn't dismiss the CB500 so readily. There's loads around at reasonable money, if you do happen to get bored of it in time you'll not lose much on it, there's a healthy market for them. In the meantime it's an excellent first big bike, very reliable, fun to ride, decent handling, etc. The bandit is a good choice as well, but in my opinion either would be a good bet. If you're going to get bored of a CB500, chances are you'll get bored of the Bandit as well, there's not much to choose between them in the power and speed stakes.

CBF600 is a detuned and genrally sofened up version of the hornet. Its heaver and blander. Its bery much a comuter bike. Where the hornet is a bit of a mixed bag, sporty but comfortable...
Its all for the Germans, the Hornet was to powerfull so honda gave them a more detuned cbr600 engine in the form of a cbf600, and it was one of the top sellers in germany last year!
