Folks

Looking for some general advice - was very kindly bought a session for the California Superbike School. Can't wait for it - their advice is to at least read their book they sell - Twist of the Wrist - before going to get the most out of the day.

No probs, having been bought the day I'd be a tight-arsed git to bitch about buying a book !! Noticed they do DVD, Interactive CD, Book I, Book II, Science of .... anybody read / used any of these and want to share their experiences before I go part with cash for one or more of these?

Cheers

twist of the wrist II is essentially twist of the wrist with extra bits afaik.

Not worth buying Twist of the Wrist 1...

As mark said, I would go for the Twist of the Wrist II book.

It was updated for more modern machinery a few years ago.

A bike mag was giving away copies of the first one a few months ago - might be able to find one cheap/free.

Think I read that wrong,,, thught you were on about whacking one off before going out on the bike Shocked
, never thoguht about bike books to improving riding.
Just do a bike safe course, track day or IAM course, this way you pick up the practical skills

In my opinion it does add a lot to read a book such as twist of the wrist before, while* and after riding on track.

It offers you a good insight into why both you and your bike are behaviour as you/it is and ways to get around behaviour you don't want.

Your first track day you will learn a lot whatever, but I'm sure a quick skim of twist of the wrist II would sitll help.
