Not that cheap, the thing is at least 15 years old. He hasn't stated the mileage, which as a rule means it's high. There's the cancer, 'average' condition for the age isn't a good sign. He also only has 'part of the V5', which means you might have to pay for a new one.

These are all nice examples of CG125's.

The second link is muddy, this would put me off but the exhaust pipe looks in good condition which is always a plus.

Top and bottom links are both minters, bottom link high mileage though.

Cheers,

Toby

I wouldn't really call 15k a high mileage for a CG125. You can expect to see at least 30-35k out of them before possibly needing a rebuild if piston slap becomes a problem. If I were getting one, I'd get one with a round headlamp. The square headlamp looks fugly; I've absolutely no clue as to why/ how Honda sell them like that.

Sorry, you're totally right, 15k isn't a lot of miles, I simply meant you can probably pick one up with less than 5000 on for not much price difference.

I'm looking for around £200 for a CG clone. it's on a 03 plate, needs a clean up, but I'll give it a wash in the next day or so.

One bolt is missing from the exhaust system so it's noisy, but can be fixed by finding the right size bolt. I've just not got round to it with moving!

Needs new side panels (about £20) and a new rear light bulb (£2).

Apart from those little bits it is fine. I do 40 miles a day on it, always starts, never has a problem. It's like the new CG with the front disk brake, and after having a CG with 2 drums, i can tell you this is a lot better. I could do with topping up the brake fluid though!

2 new tyres went on in December, along with a new chain and sprockets

I need rid of it by 3rd Feb!

/EDIT. When it was clean!!

A bog standard M10 nut should do quite adequately IIRC. It isn't bolts which go missing, but the nuts which hold the exhaust onto the engine, by means of the exhaust studs.

I'll go have a look and see!

I quite like the spitfire-esque noise! Makes all the cars move aside! Wink
