My gf's uncles bike is ready to be recovered. Its currently in a workshop in greenwich. Police "think" the bike is rideable. However, my gf's uncle is on crutches, so he can't ride it. I won't be insured, so i can't ride it. I don't know anyone who has a trailer either, so can't tow it.

How can I get it back from greenwich to Dartford? Thinking

If you've got cover for riding other bikes on your policy and he has a policy of his own, then you are insured with his permission?

Push it a few hundred yards up the road and call your breakdown company.

Depends if the breakdown insurance covers you or the bike. Get her uncle to get breakdown insurance for next time. It can really save a lot of hassle.

Due to vast quantities of people contacting MIB due to increasing numbers of uninsured drivers, they tend to only pay out for personal injury.

They did not pay me anything for my ZX9R. Thumbs Down

Her uncle is on crutches, no broken bones though.

Just got your PM, nice one. Don't do anything til i've called though. Only reason I say this is cos my gf and her uncle have gotta go there first and get the bike, take it outside and chain it up... i'm still waiting on confirmation that they can do tomorrow night.

I told the gf that I can get the van and mentioned how much, she said it was fine, so thats no problem, just waiting on confirmation, but I'll call you regardless mate.

That does sound a good deal, but 12 months breakdown cover costs less than that. www.internationalbreakdown.com

The MIB paid out for my wife's car but that was last year and I wouldn't be surprised if they'd run out of money, judging by the number of uninsured c***s on our roads..........

OK, calm down, don't start going off on one Evil or Very Mad Brick Wall

Cheers
