Unfortunately, due to needing an all rounder, both my bikes are up for sale (this and my Cagiva Canyon - see other post).

1998 R reg Honda Fireblade, 13k miles, FSH (some Honda), I am the third owner, if I remember correctly. MOT until November, tax until May. The bike is standard apart from a Micron end can (original comes with it), which it has been jetted for, K&N filter and braided hoses. The wheels, sidestand and screen brace have been powder coated to match the orange colouring (looks nicer than it sounds). It also comes with an RS paints touch up kit which, I'm sorry to say, has been used on the front right fairing after an air ambulance blew it over. It's only a small patch. The tyres are about halfway through their lifetime and the C&S are good.

I'll try to attach a picture but, if it fails, mail me for piccies.

I would like £2850 ono but I would be prepared to PX for a Varadero.

Cheers

Grim

"all rounder" and "Varadero", it's a shame when old age catches you up. At least it's not a BMW your after, or is it? Thinking Wink

Actually, it's got feck all to do with age. Well it has really, the new arrival in my household is -4 months and accelerating. I can't afford Fireblade tyres etc or running two bikes so it's either an all rounder for year long use or slip sliding around on the Blade next winter.

If I don't get an offer, I'll just keep the Blade and sell it in the summer months.

Cheers

I've got an 18 month old boy, stopped me buying a new Blade in 04 when the 1000 came out and I'd got insurance money to spend. I bought a used 954 that I kept for 18 months then traded in when we were more comfortable with the expenditure (the price of nurseries!!)

I've been using the 1000 over the winter and not had too many problems, you not fancy just keeping the Blade then?

Good luck and think of the nappys. Wink

I'll have to see, if I keep the diet up it may not be so uncomfortable for the winter months in waterproofs. Ironically, I've had some interest in the Canyon, so it might just come to that.

The only problem is that I'm not going to have any time to get out for a spin once the little 'un comes along so the bike will be commuting only. The Blade makes sense in summer but I really don't enjoy it in winter.

Cheers

It's very true actually. I manage to escape at lunchtimes and on the way home, fortunately I work at the edge of some very nice countryside. I'm hoping to be able to escape a bit more this year though now the "parenting experience" isn't quite so intense.

Might be worth trying the Blade here if you haven't already.

Good luck

Well i've been holding off autotrader because it's expensive and no one was buying recently, if you've had a couple of calls on yours i'll put mine in next week when i've got a decent photo.

I do fancy a blade like your's but in different colours, so i'll hold fire for now.
