It seems not many people know about these/if they work etc well i can tell you all now.
I bought two for my dads zzr as it failed the mot (he has harpoon exhausts and they are just as loud as having no exhaust on at all. Seriously, i have never heard anything as loud in my entire life. Once he told me it failed i thought he would probably need standard cans)
Anyway i bought 2 from here https://www.speedycom.co.uk/shop/home.php for about £25 and the pratically arrived the next day so big for them.
They look very strange, just two pipes with kind of like metal inverted spikes down the tube if you know what i mean.
So to get a decent fit and i knew my dad would probably want them in permenantly i took the cans apart and literally just slotted them straight in, no hassle.
Fired the bike up and what a difference it makes. It cuts down so much noise. I was still a bit worried as i thought they may still be too loud but apparently the tester said it was about the same noise as a legal race can.
So big to www.speedycom.co.uk and the baffles are great. If you don't have a legal can (they are cutting down on them for mots) get one of these puppies. You don't need to take your can apart just slot it in the end and drill a hole and screw it in place.
Save you quite a few £££

Yeh i have, my dad only goes down the road so he doesnt ride it properly anymore. It seems to have lost the midrange it gained from having the straight through exhausts so just like standard but better looking/sounding.
AFAIK as long as your exhaust doesn't say "not for race/road use" and isn't excessively loud then you should be ok.
The test centre used to be cool with bikes but they are quite strict now as apparently they have to be.
They won't test a bike unless the numberplate is the exact size and has not been tampered with at all. |

Is it under the outlet? You can polish that out.
My dads bike has done 50000 miles since new anyway so its on its way out. The sooner the better as he wants either a sm or a softtop sports car. |

Took me about an hour to take my dads cans off apart and put them back together. They can stay in. |
