Doesn't sound too good - im a bawhair away from going with MCD - is it standard practice for them to request a letter of NCB? Is there no way they can check this electrionically or with your old provider themselves?

Imagine trying to make a claim from them Shocked

Muppets. I won't be using them in future. Cheers for the heads up.

I,m also with motorcycle direct, the only problem l,ve had with them is when l got my quote for the thunderace l was told that l could add extra motorcycles to my policy but a few months after l took out the insurance and wanted to add the KH125 on to the policy but the gits would,nt let me even though l was told that l could in the first place.

So l was told that l had to have the KH125 on a seprate policy, now heres the piss take. "YZF1000R valued at £2300 = £520 TPTF" and they wanted "KH125 valued at £400 = £450 TPO" WTF Confused Evil or Very Mad

I've head of cases where car owners have made a claim and stated their mileage is say 5000 a year, the insurance company has checked MOT certs and seen that they have done say 4000 in six months there for there is no way you could be doing 5000 in a year thus make out you lied and invalidate your insurance or pay out less for a claim.

Just because the cars done 4000 miles doesn't mean the insured driver hass done that many miles. I dont see how they can invalidate your insurance unless they can prove you did the miles.

Nice one. Laughing

I occasionally have to speak to arsey teachers. Usually always women in the late 50's. One said to me the other day that i purposefully snapped one of her cds and bent 2 of the ring binders.

Yeh ok, stupid bitch. Middle Finger

Have to be nice to them though as its usually the old teachers that do the 4k + orders. Smile

Motorcycle direct nearly fucked me over too.

When I got my ZX6R they would not change my bandit policy over for the remaning 11 days left. This would have given me 2 years no claims.

They would let me start a new one and give me the 2 years no claims on a new policy with them. But I was not paying £400 more than the new policy cost.

However choicequote would do the same price with 1 years no claims as 2 years so to pick the new bike up I had to cancel my policy with motorcycle direct to release my no claims to use with the choice quote policy.

So lost my second years no claims, No biggie as my insurance made no differance.

However they didnt send me proof of no claims for a long time, I nearly got my policy cancelled by choicequote because motorcycle direct didnt send the proof out.

Luckily choicequote extended my time to hand them my proof of no claims.

Motorcycle direct Thumbs Down

I have a special email address just for getting insurance quotes - [email protected].

Conversations normally go something like:

"We'll just check a few of your details you entered"
"Ok"
"Name Blah blah blah"
"yup"
"email adress erm... c
"yep thats right its CRAP@blah blah blah as I know for a fact your going to send me shit in 12 months time"
"<false laugh> erm yeah ok...."
