Hi,i have a yamaha dtr 125 and i have just replaced the cylinder head gasket and the right hand side clutch casing gasket, but yet when i start the bike the oil instantly goes milky due to water getting in.i have now wasted 2 litres of oil just by starting it.Does anybody know what the problem is and where the water is getting in from?.

Perhaps your water jacket is ruptured somewhere inside the engine? If its instant...

Note, that the above suggestion, is particularly possible if the coolant froze due to no antifreeze recently...

If you didn't have anti freeze in, then you've almost certainly ruptured something.

Get a Haynes manual from halfords for diagrams of where all the pipes go and whatnot.

Hi

First guess would be that the seals on the water pump have failed, leaking water into the gearbox.

All the best

Sorry, just a boy across the road from me has got the same bike as you and had exactly the same problem!
His water pump was buggered, so I'd guess thats what's wrong with yours too.
