a moments lack of concentration and a car doing and emergency stop infront of you in the wet will put you under the back axe most days.
Tough choice. slide and brake my pelvis or fly and brake alot more.
Me, i went for the slide

Me hmm 3 times in total and all on my 125 . I have a CBR and not came off yet, but its only time until i do. First time was my fault too heavy on front brake in the rain (went down hard, half on the curb and half on the road, ended up under the trapped under the van). Second time was not my fault a taxi did a u-turn and hit me t-bone style when i was filtering, and the 3rd time a guy drove into my back at the lights, turned out alright for me tho got all the repairs done for all the accidents and his insurance paid. ____________________ Current: 2019 Yamaha T7 -> 2015 KTM Superduke R | 2000 Yamaha R1 Past -> 2009 KTM 990 SM -> 2005 kawasaki ZX10r -> 2000 Honda CBR 600 FY -> 2002 Honda XLV 125 Varadero

1st time, I came up to a corner too fast, wet road, wet leaves, cue me sliding on my side under the scooter, into the kerb.
2nd time, I went round a corner, and discovered a volvo trying to share my side of the road coming the opposite way. Swerved to avoid the volvo, slid on my face into a dry stone wall - bent the frame of the scooter, it never went on the road again .
3dr time, set off on a scooter with the bars at an angle, overcorrected and flicked myself into the air landing rather badly, cracking 2 bones in my foot .
4th time, Went round and round and round in circles on my NSR, trying to get my Knee down - just managed it too, but the back end slid out on a painted white line and the bike cartwheeled across the car park - not much damage to the bike, though the police who were about 30 feet away when I did it (someone must have called and ratted on me) gave me a producer.
5th time, coming down my road, I learned that front tyres and black ice aren't very good friends. The NSR slid on its side into the kerb, and I slid on my arse down the road. Cue a woman doing her christmas baking running out of the house with her hands all covered in flour, to see if I was okay - quite a lot of damage from that crash, wrote off one panel, crushed an indicator, and badly scraped the other two RHS panels .
Not crashed the RS yet, touch wood, thank god . ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/nsrandy/96rs250/ My Bike!

Yeah! Today!!!
Just decked my ZX6R I've had the bike garaged all winter but noticed the roads were dry and I couldn't resist.
I made it as far as the end of the drive way before I high-sided across the road...
This would be the 3rd time I've dropped a bike on the road in 12 years of road riding. I used to race motox and spent more time off the bike than on. Nothing quite as upsetting as scratched fairing though! |

Accident happened further up the road, car to my left shat himself, swerved into my path, pulled on full anchors, locked front wheel, put her down.. bike stopped and I didn't going headfirst into the back of a clio.
A lot of people thought I was a gonner and were panicking, stood up, lid off, pick bike up (on my own) and push her to the side of the road, sat down and had a wee rest. Loads of people stopped and asked if I wanted an ambulance, driver who cut in front of me fucked off. ____________________ Its a lovely day, just wait until some bastard spoils it. |

i got up -half of my jeans. an ran to my bike only to trip on my dead leg like a twat,, after amoments rest me an my friend (who had turned up) tryd to rip the bike outa the ditch,, got it out an drove the 4 mile home..
ended giving myself whip last a few cuts down my leg,,, i learned my lesson..

Too many times to count. Most of them were low speed accidents, only one or two were because I was going too fast.
On one of my old scooters I dared to lean very gently into a corner in the wet and ended up sliding down the road. Deathtrap.
On the bike, first time I came off was because I was slowing down to turn left into a road and I lost the front wheel on some gravel at about 5mph.
Later that night I was pulling out of a junction and lowsided. White lines, muddy tyres, leaning and throttle in the wet doesnt work too well. ____________________ Go back to bed - You have no rights - "Streetfighters ~ Mainstream motorcycling's crackwhore sister." |

Fell off the road not long ago. Lifted the bike off its side stand, I was feeling extremely weak, the bike started to lean towards me, went to grip the gravel with my back foot for support but nothing was there, down i rolled what an idiot! ____________________ CG125|CB400SF|CBR600FX|Triumph Daytona T595|CBR929RR |

lol, when i was 15 i sat on my mates bike while we were out the front, the bike was up on the porch (about 3ft drop to my right)
i asked if i could let the kickstand go, he said 'yeah just don't drop it, it's heavy'
i dropped it, but down my right side.. fell for thost 3ft and the bike landed on my hip, lucky it was a naked bike. offered to pay for costs, but there was nothing to fix, so i polished it all for him the next day out of guilt |

Yep, a few times.
Dropped my 125 (Cagiva Roadster) when I locked the front wheel on a frosty road. Throw-over panniers saved the bodywork.
Stuffed my wife's NS125R in a ditch, cos I didn't trust its tyres to lean any further. Hauled it out, kicked the mud off, rode it home!
Threw the Speed Four up the road at about 50mph, cos I wasn't really paying attention on the way to work one morning. The traffic slowed down more than I'd realised, and I clipped the back corner of the car in front.
Made quite a mess of the bike. It's amazing how far they slide! I was wearing decent kit, so this was the only damage to me:
