well...i can't beleive it...got knocked off last night by a taxi, riding down a clear road, he pulled right across my path just after a pedestrian crossing (corner of regent st and portland place outside all souls)...the bike seems ok apart from fairing damage...i've broken 3 bones in my hand and will be in a cast for 10 weeks...

and what did he say..........'sorry mate, i didn't see you'....

Glad you are ok mate. Make sure you managed to get a decent settlement out of the fucker, they are notorious for this kind of thing. He will probably try all kinds of shite to get out of it knowing how much his insurance is going to be hit.

Taxi drivers are one of the worst hazards for town riding.
As soon as they see someone waving a hand, screw everybody else. U-turns, emergency stops, what ever...

Hope you heal up quick and get a speedy settlement.

i hope you don't suffer too much with the cast and good to hear it wasn't worse...it seems that where i live,in order to become a taxi/bus driver you need to be a d!ckhead(sorry if any of you are taxi/bus drivers-prove me wrong)

A black cab half pulled into my lane a few weeks ago on the way to work. If I hadn't pressed the horn and taken evasive action there's a strong chance he would have swiped me. I shook my head on the way past which he took personally I think because he beeped his horn in retaliation - what a nob. I just gave him the finger and rode off.

They're meant to be professional drivers too..... don't believe any of it and trust no-one.

dont taxi drivers loose there taxi licence in the event of a crash caused by them?
