Got my R1 tail unit and want to fibreglass over the pillion seat hole, the kit i have at home is a proper heavy duty uber kit that has never been opened but has an expiry date of 2000.
Will it still be ok and whats the best way to cover the hole before i fibreglass? Just normal masking tape or something?
Cheers. |

Hmm, maybe. They give you a bit of leeway, (just like food expiry dates), but a lot depends on how it's been stored. I'd mix a small amount up first, just to make sure it cures, before you end up with sticky non-drying gloop everywhere!

Yep, that should do it.
Oh, and don't get anything within 100 metres if you don't want it fibreglassed. That stuff gets everywhere ____________________ You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move but should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move but does, use the Duct Tape. |

Yeah tape should do it although does tend to move around a bit when you start to put it on maybe tape card or something over it depends on the shape though, but you dont need to be good at fibreglassing just sanding ____________________ CBR125R - CBR600Fy

That should be fine for the big parts but otherwise use wet and dry paper to get it really smooth ____________________ CBR125R - CBR600Fy
