It's trying to escape!

And taking my oil with it!

How hard is it to replace a gasket like this?

The cylinder base gasket, what bike is it the CG clone single?.
If so it won't be that hard if know generally what you're doing and have a manual with the torque figures etc in it. If not take it in it isn't much of a job for a shop to do, just cost you cylinder head and base gaskets and perhaps a couple more cheap gaskets and seals if need be in parts plus the labour. Only problem is can you get the parts easily enough?

Bummer, sometimes you can get away with just retorqueing it up but yours has obviously split as well so there won't be much chance of that. If you're PXing it clean it up and let the dealer sort it, if it's private you've got the choice of being a twat and saying nothing or offering to get the bits or whatever and a few quid off for sorting it.
