Hi Chaps,

Decided I need to repair the low side damage the previous owner did to my NSR. Will be upgrading to race decals once I have resprayed. Any tips on getting the old decals off or is it just a matter of picking away and persevering? I have attempted to take one off but it just comes off chunk by chunk?

Soften them up a bit with a hairdryer and they peel off easier, don't overdo it though.

a bit of white spirit on a rag (not excessive) will remove any glue that remains.

be sure to get all white spirit off your paintwork afterwards

If they are being resprayed the soaked them in petrol, wait 5 mins, heat them up with a hair dryer and they will peel off. Thumbs Up

WD40 removes any sticker gum etc left over.

Apparently WD40 also have a new pen-type product specifically for removing stickers/decals... dunno if it'd be of any use but just to be aware that it's available
(and no I'm not on commission from WD40 Wink )

and thats exactly what i used to remove the "100cc" decals from my pug Very Happy
