125 difficult to start

Brand new Hongdou GY125, seems harder to start than its clone cg125, i have read that the carburetta is set up slightly differently, but i cant remember where, has anybody come across this problem or have any ideas which may resolve it as it runs like a dream when its got warm.

Try starting it with full choke and no throttle, or maybe just 1/4 throttle to fire it initially other than that no idea never even heard of one lol

If it has eletric start then avoid using it to start if it wont turn over, use the kick start instead with a few hard kicks flip the throttle and it should turn over. keep the choke half way. And check your end plug on the ht lead is tight as this can easily be the problem
