I got my picture taken last December in Newcastle for 35 in a 30.
I was miffed by it, but after a day or so I decided to fess up to it as fighting it was going to require to much of my time.
I sent the form back stating it was I who was driving and waited for the penalty.
I got a letter back to offer me a workshop thingy or three points and £60 fine.
I need training Laughing
I still object on princple but I wont win against the speed police.
How many cars are out there with only one headlight etc? rant rant

My arse didn't look as big in the photo either. Laughing

They apologised for the stress and trouble it caused me.

What a sad country this has become when you can be fined £1000 for being 5mph over the speed limit.

This modern age, bikes and cars can stop quicker than when the Highway code was first written, so surely the difference between 30 and 35mph is NOT 20 odd feet like they advertise Middle Finger

Maybe they should teach people to look where they are going instead of just stepping out into the road.

Fecking speed limits are too slow on motorways and 30mph, my god Evil or Very Mad

30 35 will still give you a start if your hit by anything travelling at that speed.
When I do the Speed Skool I'll report back on how it changes me. Laughing

Hi

Don't think speed cameras are useful, but do not expect the speed workshop to be any useful training. Expect it to be a load of biased truths, half truths and total lies profitably paid for by you.

If you want some fun read up the stats first (such as when they say that 1/3 of accidents are caused by speed ask why a recent government report stated that ~3% of bike accidents were caused by speed) and then ask them awkward questions and watch them look at their feet and mumble or just try and shout you down.

All the best

Keith

Take the course, you may be selling out, but you'll keep a clean license for when you really need it. They did the same thing to my brother when they were going to do him for driving without due care and attention.

I need to take the medicine to save the points. Cheaper than a brief.
But I want to see the look on their faces when I leave the carpark on the back wheel. Laughing
I ken about the stats thingy. But I'm not going to fight it. I got my bum reamed out when I took on that bitch Margret Hilda Thatcher and her racist Tax. I felt like I was the only one that never paid it. Crying or Very sad
Och now they'll know who I am. Embarassed
