hi i have a 2002 kmx 125 and when you rev it in neutral or when you are moving along there is a rattling noise coming from the cylinder barrel and it gets faster when you are reving so ive taken off the cylinder head and the piston wobbles side to side but this is only a slight wobble could this be that the piston is worn or could it be the small end bearing please help me i will be very grateful.

Was there damage to the bore or the piston? Have you seized it in the past but then managed to get going again? Have a look at the rings because it may wooble if one or both are partially seized into the pison.

there is no damage to the bore or piston and it hasnt partially seized on me
