Brasso do a wadding thats impregnated with a polish. Wilkinsons, Woolworths etc. do it for about £2 a tin, which holds a piece approx 4"x10". I've found it to be very good indeed, especially for after the wet wire-wool stage.

God I bet your bored of it now!!

probably but would take longer, it still takes a while to get it polished up after the wet and dry, but i use a wheel on the bench grinder, i also use autosol paste and the wax blocks to finish

you are rubbing it down to smooth it out, not useing the autosol on final finnish, thats where the wax comes in

as for wet and dry, get the finest you can, also if you know a double glazier, ask him to get you some, he can get finer as they use iy for the edges and finiching off the upvc

There is a finer Autosol to use for mirror finishes in addition to the general metal polishing one.

I thought the marks fucking flap wheel leaves behind was easy to sand out and it isnt Embarassed

PM craigs123 (i think thats the user name), but his now departed honda 400 was a mirror on wheels. If he can't help you, then there's no justice in the world.

Cheers for the recomendation Jack Thumbs Up

Check your Mail Box 125pow., I replied to your query.

Looks like you're stuck with the standard 'casted' finish of the hanger - this needs to come off if you want a mirror shine. Not sure if wire wool is tough enough to do this - wet'n'dry would be.

Try a 400 grit to see if it'll take off the moppled finish - if not, try a 350 or 280. Then work back up - 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1500 - then polish using Autosol, then Brasso, (use dusters or microfibre) then finally Belgom Alu (using tissue (I've yet to find a cloth light enough for a scratchless finish (microfibre was good, but not fantastic).
