Hi
Not sure. While it does seem he was taking the mickey, legally he was not commiting the offence of speeding as he is exempt if keeping to the limits would interfere with his duties (dangerous driving is different).
In some ways I would prefer him to have been found innocent, and hopefully for it to force some kind of rethink over when it is OK for anyone to speed. Trouble is that although I can see the first happening I cannot see a rethink happening.
Suspect this will end his career anyway.
All the best

Maybe I'm cynical but anyone want to bet me 1p that he'll get the minimum 3 points and a £60 fine (unless he's sent on a driving awareness course instead ) ____________________ ...and the whirlwind is in the thorn trees, it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks...

I was wondering how he got caught at it, what a blimin fool
If they do need to test the capabilites of a car it should be done, like everyone else, off the road on a track or dissused runway.. if not they hould expect the legal ass kicking that going double the limmit will incur...
The only reason anyone makes a video is to show off, thats no way arround that.
And another thing, is he a traffic cop? otherwise as far as i'm aware they dont get any more training than anyone, they need a clean licence and thats it, traffic police are trained to a high standard (especially motorcycle rideing police) ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |

Hi
Worth noting that he has not been found guilty. They have just sent the case back for trial. Reading between the lines it seems that they are just saying that his defence was not legally sound.
Suspect that at the retrial they will still throw out the speeding conviction (as legally he is allowed to break the speed limit), and there will be some fancy footwork with the dangerous driving conviction. They will need to prove that his driving was actually dangerous, which could have interesting results (especially considering this recent verdict).
All the best

It’s hard being robbed blind when you try your best to drive like your gran, at the same time try and get places on time.
Police it seems can have a bit of fun, as this guy wasn’t in a chase, nor was he getting away from something.
159mph is ridiculous, I was told once 48 in a 30 was ridiculous.
Why isn’t every case of speeding dealt with like this and not by R2D2?
NBO wrote: | I do have a worry about yourself considering yourself as a

I believe I am a good rider, I do not take too many risks I am not in a rush all the time.
I don’t ride bikes for pure pleasure I’ve got to get to work etc, it is my only form of transport, if I doubted my riding all the time worrying about having a smash I’d do just that.
NBO wrote: | In times past from the reading of your profile you have crashed xx number of bikes and been banned already? Not exactly what I would consider a good rider especially within six years. |
Not banned, revoked after being a victim of an automated system that doesn’t care.
Why care about this prick, he speeds to test the car.
I know someone who has done advanced rider courses and a guy who has done defensive driving, he has had smashes, and by no means are they better than me if you go by crash record. ____________________ Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.
