Due to the nice weather, I went for a little play at working on kneedown, even though I have no sliders. Used kevs idea of putting tipex or similar on the tyre in a line before going out so you can see how much lean you are getting. This is the result...

Those were both solid tipex lines before I started
Is that enough lean anyone reckon? |

Nope, the ninja has normal pegs
Why do Honda put those on? To stop the peg getting eaten by tarmac? |

The ball of your foot should be on the peg... so that the front of your foot just reaches the brake/gear lever. Even with pretty big feet you should be okay... the thing to avoid is being 'duck footed' with the heel of your foot on the peg and the ball sticking out.
I occasionally forgot on the 6 and left my feet out... though I was usually woken up as my hitech magnums grappled with the tarmac . I have got the 6 pegs down before... though usually when not hanging off that much (obviously going to have slightly higher peg positioning than the storm... and no stupid hero blobs. When properly hanging off the tyres have let go before the peg went down (was an 020 rear though... but should have been heated up nicely.) |

Did you ever have any problems with the 020 rear? It was really warm when I stopped and felt it |
