Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Definitely no charge for two wheelers.

Get it here straight from the horse's mouth

https://tfl-cc.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/tfl_cc.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_sid=2InVLa_h&p_lva=&p_faqid=1722&p_created=1121872379&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9ncmlkc29ydD0mcF9yb3dfY250PTImcF9zZWFyY2hfdGV4dD1tb3RvcmJpa2VzJnBfc2VhcmNoX3R5cGU9NCZwX3Byb2RfbHZsMT1_YW55fiZwX3BhZ2U9MQ**&p_li=

Related good news is that accident rates for bikes within the zone are falling although they still represent the highest by vehicle type.

In a recent review of the system old Ken decided motorcycles do not cause songestion so the charge does not apply. I work inside the zone and don't have a problem when i'm on the bike.
Carefull with the bus lanes, some you can use, some you can't, check the bus lane signs before you enter one. Thumbs Up

....although there was some prat in the Evening Standard last night arguing that bikes should pay, as they are noisy, cause pollution and when they travel in a convoy of '10 or more' cause congestion! Shocked I have an email from the Mayor that states categorically he will never charge bikes for riding in the Zone.

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=45973&highlight=congestion

Other interesting points about the congestion charge in the thread too!!

good stuff.. i'll use my dads transalp to get to work for a while in that case..

some of you might remember, i was looking for a CBR600
a short while ago (R6 and GSXR were my other 2 choices)
well.. i put that cash aside and some savings on top to
buy a sandwich bar/cafe on warren street W1, just off tottenham court road in Euston...
the god damn shop is in ~10 yards of the congestion zone Brick Wall
now i have to deal with that let alone the parking problem.. bike is the best option i guess.. Neutral

anyway.. if any of u lot work near there pop in for your free coffee Razz

Whats wrong with Ken? He is the one who is fighting to keep bikes exempt. Whenever there is pressure he comes out and tells people to stop being stupid as bikes dont cause congestion. Whatever he has done in the past, he is ok in my book as it is setting a precedent in case other cities go down the same route. Very Happy
