R6 Rev limit

Hi

Seems Yamaha have been telling porky pies about the rev limit on the new R6:-

Tacho might say the red line is at 17500, but seems the real rev limiter is set at about 16200rpm.

{edit} Sorry, for those that missed it, HotDog posted a sarky comment about how the rev limiter was defineable by the rider. He seems to be very good at the sarcasm, but has to delete his post if someone posts a retort! {edit}

if u buy the race ecu from the assesories book, it will hit the 17.5k red line

just not particularly cheap, there are about 5 grand worth of adons that wil push the bike to about 150bhp for race use.

the shift light has bloolocks all to do with anything as it is set by the rider seen a few with it set around 4k rpm....why would u bother?
