going to sign up to a local gym, seems a good place
its £49.50 a month and £50 joining fee, unlimited access to gym plus swimming pool. slightly hacked off at the joining fee but can't do anything about that.
just wondered what other people pay!

£50 a month seems a bit much. I'm paying £200 a year at the minute but that was a special offer for gullible students Smile The public rate here is £37 a month or £407 a year, all with £20 joining fee.

Canons Gym; around £50 a month, no joining fee.

Got a pool and free classes.

Fairly nice atmosphere, not too busy and plenty of 'fit' blokes (in both sense of the word Smile) to encourage me to work harder, even if I don't do anything about it.

Think you save a month if you pay yearly.

A lot of money, but the act of paying a lot of money means I do actually make use of it!

Will probably stop during the summer when I have more to do and more enthusiasm for push biking, off road motorbiking etc.

I pay £47 a month. Didn't pay a joining fee.

This is in Central London, some gyms charge up to £150 a month round here!

I don't have a pool, but I cant swim anyway, so I'm not fussed! Laughing

£30 a month for a small place, small swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jetpool, exercise room and weights room. Nice enough place, and it's very quiet. If I go for a swim; most days between 9 and 10, I can pretty much guarantee I'll be on my own.

£40 a month at fitness first (i paid £10 my mum and dad paid £30) can't remember what the joining fee was, i think something like £60 down from £150 Mr. Green

Had quite a few decent things, saunas gym stuff, classes, free coke etc.

Now go to the army gym, its completley free and i get something like 12 squash courts, olympic size swimming pool, massive gym, tennis courts, basket ball etc. Its a huge complex and absolutely free. Very Happy

£20 a month unlimited or £150 for twelve months if you want to pay up front.

Bad points... No pool

Good points.... Quiet, all the equipment you need, close and its the local college's gym so you can imagine how many fit teenage birds seem to appear. Luckily all the blokes seem to think theyre too cool for school and must go some other gym. Also no meat heads grunting or eating chicken.

Thumbs Up

£97 a month for me and the wife and the kids go free. Big pool and free classes. Just cancelled membership as we were only using the pool and it's lots cheeper to just go to the local pool.

No joining fee and corperate membership.
