There's normally a bike parked where I work which always raises a smile when I see it. It's a Yamaha Enticer!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with the bike, I don't want to do the whole custom v. race rep thing.
It's just the name. It sounds like a sex toy!

It started me thinking, what is the funniest name ever given to a bike?

I think that Intruder is probably even more of a vibrator name.
Then there's Virago, I know it sounds ok, but look it up in a dictionary:

https://nashville.me.uk/images/virago.gif

I mean, who would buy it if it was called "stroppy bird"?!

Aprillia made a bike called the Caponard, which just sounds stupid.

The best one was with a car. The Toyota Starrion. The Americans had misheard the Japanese accent over the phone and badged them all up as 'starrion'. "Yes, we call car starrion, much new model, name after big horse, vely good."

For me it would be the Superdream. Nice looking bike IMO, shame about the name.

Hi

FreeWind is the silliest bike name I can think of.

Car wise there are loads. The Nova was called the Corsa most places (because Nova is close to "Non Va", so no go).

The Toyota MR2 was launched in France and they wondered why it did not sell well, until someone pointed out that MR2 in French was M R Deux, very close to the French word for shit. Similarly Rolls Royce almost launched a car called the Silver Mist, until it was pointed out that Mist was German for shit.

All the best

Keith

Honda brought out a car in Japan called the Life Dunk Confused I've always thought Nissan's Fairlady was quite an odd name.

That reminds me, Nissan also sold cars called the "Cedric" and the "Gloria".
