Hey all my g/f has a taishan commuter 50. Apart from exhaust and variator how do i derestrict this bike? I have tried removing a large thick black washer under the lid over the daiphragm (top of the carb) but it runs way too lean then. Also where the spring comes down from the lid there is a big silver screw. Will removing this screw help any?
Any ideas comments are a help im completely with this chinese bike it just seems to be put together a little weird

what kind of speed are you getting out of it after you have done your exhaust and variator? a lot of scooters have no further restriction. if this scooter is a 4 stroke it may not be restricted at all. If it was a european scooter you could also improve performance with lots of aftermarket parts. Unfortunately most chinese scooter dont have these parts available.

I had a chinese ZHongyu ped and all i could do was buff a bit off the throttle so it could spin a little further round to let more fuel in. Is this screw deffo not a jet before you remove it? Also it will run cr*p if you try hard to mod it. Wink
