Hi guys,

Hope you can help; have a GPz750R and when I fill the tank to more than a couple of inches below the bottom of the filler, it spews petrol, in pulses, out of the overflow pipes under the bike.

The fuel is nowhere near the filled overlow holes and it stops doing it when the filler cap is kept open.

Not had many previous bikes, but those that I have had have been filled to the point that it is just about touching the bottom of the filler neck, inside the tank, with no such problems.

grateful for any help

Thanks

Dave

If the fuel is coming out in pulses it could well be a defective fuel pump if one is fitted. Or a defectice fuel line or needle valve.

No fuel pump just the good old gravity feed and vacuum operated tap.

Does this even with the engine off.

Smile Thanks for the advice Joe but trying to make time between fuel stops as long as possible......em, so that extra 10 or 20 miles Embarassed will be worth it .... Confused
