Not terrible bikes, mate of mine had one. Quick-ish, handles ok-ish.

Not very much like a mito though...

Underrated by all accounts. They look better in the flesh than in pictures. I should think they'll do the job adequately.

Getting a bit long in the tooth now, but there are still some minters around. Solid and unremarkable, which - for some of us at least - is a plus point... Thumbs Up

Check on the insurance. I looked at these when I was looking and the insurance was substantially more than the GSX600F that I eventually bought.

Not to my tastes. I'd rather have a Bandit 6 or Hornet for a budget 6, or maybe an early CBR6. The RF's a bit too Battlestar Galactica meets Ferrari Testratta-wannabe for my liking.

Cheap and capable, they're as fast and handle as well as the CBRs etc of it's age, styling never really caught on so they're inexpensive to buy. You could do a lot worse!!! No real problems as far as I know.

the rf is a sports bike
the gsx600f isnt
they will be different

i know some people like the gsx600f, but I dont.
I have to admit Im biased though as i used to have a poster of a red rf600 when i was still at school so it still looks good to me

I like them, gave serious thought to the 900 as its a credible fireblade alternative

Again, it's classed as a sports tourer.

Gee, really? We'd never have guessed. Rolling Eyes

I still like the rf900 though. I'd have one.

I had an RF600, fairly unique styling!
Would definately have another (but probably the 900).

Decent acceleration, comfortable ride, the main problem is because they are so rare trying to get second hand spares is very difficult.

Insurance is cheaper than a sports bike. Thumbs Up

the gsx600f was built to a budget like a bandit
rf 600 may now be classed as a sports tourer but they are in a different class, made obvious by different insurance groups

in its day the rf600 was quite good, gsx600f is only loved by people who bought one

im getting deja vu

You should see someone. Your obsession with how crap you think my bike is seems somewhat... unhealthy.
