Nowt special, another ebay purchase.

https://www.bikepics.com/pics/pics/yamaha-yzf750-97-bikepics-517115.jpg

1997 YZF750R
20,000 miles
£1200

Bodywork seems in good condition, no major scuffs or cracks. Rides nicely and pulls right across the rev range. Unfortunately it really swallows fuel at a quicker rate than the firestorm so who knows how long I'll have it. I was told it should be better. (£13.50 = less than 120 miles to reserve)

£1000 is the going rate for a good nick (original) YZF750 these days, so bit over the odds if anything. It shouldn't be worse on fuel than a firestorm, something's wrong, probably needs rejetting, or there's something else wrong with the carbs.

Looks lush. I agree with pheonix, I don't know nothing about them, but i doubt it should be drinking as much fuel as a litre v twin Smile

Yeah I'll check the sizes of the jets and what not, folks on the exup forum seem to think its running only slighly thirsty though.

£1200 I thought was an ok-ish deal considering the mileage and condition. For its age, it's in great condition, no real noticeable scratches. Checked on autotrader and ebay and they all seem to be looking for more. We'll see anyway when it comes to selling time (hopefully not soon) Since it's a cheap bike, I won't be losing much if anything. Thumbs Up

Have considered streetfightering her though (streetfightering in the lightest terms possible = strip off the fairings and stick a singe round lamp on the front and get the clocks sorted)

Nah if she was to have the fairings kept off her, I reckon I'd probably want to KEEP the clip ons on. Just need to do something with the clocks.
