Jack Lilleys demonstrator Daytona 675 has been stolen. Due to the rarity of these bikes at the moment we thought this a worthwhile message. It is graphite with sports pipe and tank pad but otherwise standard and without dealer stickers. It has 1200 miles on it with reg number LJ55 YCM and vin number ending 260110.

Any info please contact Triumph on 01455 251700 or Jack Lilleys on 01784 420421.

Least they will be easy to spot, seeing as not many are out and about yet. I'll check eBay for parts. Smile

What were the circumstances in which it went missing? Ram-raid or did somebody just not bother coming back after a test ride?

Jack

:edit: What a stupid bike to steal! Why would you steal such a rare bike!?

From what I can gather it has been taken while it was parked up, although I'm not certain on this.

Think about it, all you'd need is a bike with similar colours and pipes, stick the plate on that and buzz it where ever you needed to e (politely), ie france etc. If the markets as rare as people make out it all makes plenty of sense.

It sounds like they either:

Know what they have stolen and already have a buyer... ( I can't see how TBH)

Or,

They don't know what they have just nicked, and are now chuffing desperate to get rid.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Stolen in the middle of the day with a van from outside the dealers who didn't even notice it was gone until they closed up and moved the bikes inside. No witnesses.

Does sound a bit daft.

'Lets just leave this bike, (that there's a stupidly long waiting list for) out of eyesight.'

It wouldn't supprise me if it was stolen to order. If someone can offer over the odds for it, then someone will nick it. Scum.

I have to say, some people fail to protect their bikes.

If I was a bike dealer, I would have so much security - CCTV, alarms, electric gates, and most certainly not a brand new unreleased demonstrator sitting behind my shop out of eyesight where a van can be reversed into!
