Hi all. I noticed this a few weeks ago and it has been getting steadily worse over time.
I don't know what you're meant to call it but the 'mud guard' that comes off the swing arm isn't aligned correctly down the centre.
This means that the rear tyre is touching part of it.
I suppose this doesn't make sense but I'll attach some pictures to show you.
It's a RS 125.
I cannot see what would be causing this - any ideas would be good on where to look

It's a Hugger. Obviously not right and should sit central if it is the right one for the bike which it seems to be as the problem has got worse. Slacken all the fixing points, move it so it's central then do the bolts up again. If you can't get it right then it's probably damaged/twisted. Don't use it if it still rubs, take it off. You haven't put a bigger tyre on have you?? clearance is usually tight to start with and a bigger tyre can catch and twist it.

Thanks Bezzer. I've had a quick look (haven't had much time) and I think I might be able to loosen the bolts that hold it without taking the tyre off

I got a new tyre for it about 10 months ago. It is a larger one but it's the recommended size (I can't remember what it is. Does 170 or 270 sound about right). The one on there before was too small

Once again thanks for the reply.
Hopefully I won't have to remove the tyre

I'll let you know how I go

170 sounds big, my 400 only has a 160 on it and 270, let's not even go there. Laughing

Agreed.

I have a 160 on my Bandit 600!

270, I think you'd be driving a tractor! Laughing

I thought they had a 120/130 section on the rear?

If you've got a 170 section on there I'm not surprised it's rubbing Shocked.

Would a 170 even fit on a RS125's rim ?
