Half Life was the daddy....Me and my house mate, whilst at Uni, played it for about forty hours whilst getting stoned as f*ck! Happy dazes indeed. Everything about it was just right, good fear factor, excellent weapons and the military presence gave it a brilliant 'actio0n movie' sensation.

Other things that have consumed many hours are....

Halo 2 (f*cking awesome shooter)
Splinter Cell 1 and 3 (one of the most immersive games ever)
Wolfenstein on XBox live (fittingly described as liquid crack by one yank I was teamed up with)
Moto GP2 on Xbox Live

Big disapointments were Doom 3 and HL2.
