Oh my god how they move.

I got over taken by one when i was stuck in traffic pulled in a bit to let him in front of me. He was probably only about 17/18 looked a bit like a ped boi but i followed him (he was going the same way as me)

I was edging him on a bit by sticking with him but i could't really do it, obviously i caugt him up on roundabouts and a few turns and corners (he was pretty shit at going round them ) but i really was supprised by the straight line acceleration. It went like a rocket!!!!

I have just got one to learn on before my direct access and Im suprised at the power too... I mean this can be ridden legal(ish not full power) at 17 and is only a 125cc!

When I first started riding it I wasn't as impressed as I was taking it easy and not really revving it as much as you should. But after hitting the power band at >8000RPM its off!

i was following one the other day in tamworth - i was in my astra, i wanted him to go for it so i could chase!!! he turned off though, he did give a few bursts of speed though, not that quick, probably still restricted

they are quick for what they are, but you lose so badly with reliability.

The RS realy is a Beast of a bike. Very high maintanence to ride though. As if you boot it then before you know it your in the red line and have to change up a gear. 0 - 60 mph time is pretty god damn fast.

Ive only realy been riding my RS for a week and and completly scared of how fast it throws you back when it reaches 8000 Revs.

If its dry this weekend im going to take the bike out with a few mates and find some good empty roads and try and test her out.

After 2 weeks, I can't find a 125 fast anymore, it's nice to overtake cars for once though. How much faster do they feel after derestriction?

When I spent some time in Italy I saw that they have it all sorted, spend all the money on the modifications, when something goes wrong, have a go at fixing it yourself. Wood, metal, plastic, glue, putty, its all good.

amazing fun if you dont wanna get a full license or are too young to get cheap insurance on a big bike

big bikes are faster but generally dont handle as well as the rs125

the problem for me is shit mpg for the power it has and maintenance costs but that might just be mine. its geared high so not so good in town, but great on country roads

I had a go on an RS 125 ( and baring in mind the only other road bike I have ridden is a geared 50cc.. ) and it was pretty amazing.

I know its just because im not used to that sort of accelartion whilst on 2 wheels but everything just seemed to go blurry at 8,000 revs.

Im really considering to buy one but the reliabilty issuses have put me off so far, since the bike I got at the moment has been nothing but trouble, and its annoying enough that the bike dosnt work all the time, but it would be even more annoying to have these sort of problems now since I started working.

Out of interest, how much do u guys pay on insurance for these ?

Im 17 and with only a provisional licence, the insurance came to around £1800-£2000 third party only.

I told him already my friend used to whip my ass when my bike was restricted in a race, i would beat him to 60 but the bike has so little power it takes forever to go any faster than that.

He had a 1.6 astra. I wouldn't be supprised riichy if a full power rs125 was actually quicker than your restricted 400. Slightly less power but a hell of a lot lighter.

A full power rs125 is probs quicker than a 33bhp zxr.

I rode one and it did feel slow and lacked power going up hills (but them i'm quite heavy) but for what it is it's quick.


(a restricted one is AWFUL tho)
