Seconded. I was rather looking forward to see something take the place of Little Britain, as it went rather shit.

Hadn't seen it before but watched the 3rd episode that you'd put in your first post last night (so the file does work).
Bit weird. The show didn't seem to have a flow to it, and a lot of the jokes seemed contrived and not really funny. I like the guy from Garth Merenghi, although his voice would probably start to grate after a while. Also like the bloke from Green Wing, but the female characters and the main Irish guy didn't really do much for me. At times they seemed like they didn't even think the lines they were saying were funny. Almost apologetic delivery.
I could see how it could possibly be one of those shows that you need to get to know the characters a little before it will start being really funny.
Just as a theory, I've only seen/read Graham Linehan interviewed over this show, and I presume Arthur Matthews isn't co-writing it with him? I thought the 3rd series of black books wasn't as funny as the first two, after Matthews stopped writing and left it to Linehan and Moran. Linehan's stuff on his own always seems to be a little more surreal. ____________________ - Yeah, you know the type, loud as a motorbike, wouldn't bust a grape in a fruit fight.

It does, but you might need to open it in Windows Media Player, which will then ask you to upgrade some bits and bobs so that MicroShit can track who's watching things. |
I watched it through my XBox Media Centre, so MicroShit ain't got a clue what I watch. If they're interested, it's mostly porn. ____________________ - Yeah, you know the type, loud as a motorbike, wouldn't bust a grape in a fruit fight.
