I believe that Phoenix are the official distributors in this country ( https://www.phoenixnw.co.uk/ ). They should be able to point you in the right direction.

I've got the same helmet, and changing the visors is a royal pain in the arse (although some people seem to get on fine with it). It's a great helmet otherwise though.

I manage fine with my Arai, but it's a Quantum-F that I've had for nearly three years. Never had a moment's bother with it Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I plan to replace it with an Astro-R or similar at the end of this year, and I've heard that it's the newer helmets that seem to (anecdotally) have a weaker mechanism/pod fixtures. It's something I'll be watching out for anyway Confused

I'm sure that's what it is. I think I'm half paranoid about snapping the sidepod and pinging it across the room! I have seen easier systems though.

that bloody visor mechanisim. spent an hour and a half trying to put it all back together then it breaks.
its an astro race - really comfortable and miles better quality than any other helmet ive had before. but the visor change bit leaves a lot to be desired.

I think at first the sidepod plastic isn't very flexible, and needs some use to free it up. Mine was really tricky to start with, but has loosened up nicely now.

i had my astro j nearly a year before i got the visor out, everytime u do it it just feels like its gonna break in ur hands but iv got the hang of it now. Definatly prefer the shoei quick release system, doesnt look as cool as the arais tho.

For when you get it fixed ... ... there is a knack to it. I found it easiest to practice with the helmet on a table-top, facing away from me.

Lift visor fully up so that levers pop out of side-pod aperture on either side of helmet.

Using one hand on each side, brace the helmet with your thumbs, while simultaneously pushing the levers up with your ring fingers and applying a little pressure to the visor with the index fingers, directed away from the helmet.

This **should** be enough to pop the visor out slightly. As noted above, it sounds awful the first few times you do it, so make sure you apply some of the silicone lube supplied with the helmet, just to ease it along.

Once the visor is loose, lift it up and away from the helmet.

I did find it quite difficult the first few times, but I can do it while wearing the helmet now. It really does only take seconds to perform Smile

Im sure one of my pods is broken cos the arm sort of bends a little when trying to get the visor back in.

I was just told at the shop to 'push the levers up and after a lot of clicking and wiggleing, the visor should come out trouble free' - yeh right.

My new visor did infact come with a small bottle of light oil, mayb with some of that on a regular basis it might not be that difficult to get the visor off.

I would say, make sure you use the silicone lube regularly. Helps keep the visor movement lubricated and smooth.

Tbh it's piss easy removing the visor, getting it back in is the challenge where the unlucky break a sidepod.

It says how to do it in the manual, have a look.

Really? I've always considered refitting the visor to be the easiest part of the entire operation - just "push it in <click>" Confused Thumbs Up
