removing clothing security tags

Magnet from a speaker will remove it np.

old car speakers are the best they have pretty large very power full magnet in. use a fork also push the fork thru the pin to hold it then place it on the magnet an pop the top off all done.Hope this helps

No im not theaf lol i used to make them along with alot of security devices such as smoke paint bombs an explosives for the money colection boxes.The 1s they have in the money vans

Sorry to say pretty imposs.Soon as the box is opend it causes small explosion this starting the die to burn (Ever seen smoke bomb)They liek that but leave a pretty harsh stain .Used to nick the bombs set em on fire was chuckle untill got drunk did one on my mums doorstep
She wasnt to happy with the new color red

Altho having a think if you can find a good enough drill peace an spend many hours drilling small holes untill you got it big enough to remove the money.Altho still think this isnt possible

what kind of sensor is it that sets off the explosive ? is it just contacts on the walls of the box, that separate when opened ? or is there something else ?

is there only one bit of dye and explosive ? is it in the top or bottom or what ?

if i wanted to buy one of these boxes to conduct experiments, what is the company i would buy it from ?

I know you got the tag off but just for reference in case someone else has a problem.

Get a dremel and cut the top off the dome. You will see a plastic insert but cut right through until you see sparks. When the top is off you can see several ball bearings, tip the tag up and shake 'em out. The pin is now released. Takes a minute and doesn't cause any damage.

Next time you go to the shop take the tag with you to the counter and tell them to make sure they remove it next time. It really annoys them. BTW the dye is in the rectangular bit.
