Hi Marc,

Where did you see this advertised? If you got one for £1200 I might add this back to my potential bike list Smile

Its taken a while to get used to my manual choke (it sucks)

It used to take several attempts to start the damn bike, and then you have flooded the engine, and the bike wont start for ages Sad

You'll get used to it Thumbs Up

Nice bike, how's a manual choke difficult to operate?

Pull lever, push starter button. Release choke when bike idles comfortably...my Blade requires the fuel tap to be turned off upon starting as it's got a gravity fed tap (which causes the engine to flood if left on), is the CBR6 the same?

My choke quickly returns to the normal position as if the springs are to strong, so takes a while of gentle holding, bliping of throttle to keep the revs high but not screaming

Should be adjustable to an extend to take the 'quick return' out of the cable. Give it a good lube whilst you're down there just in case.

i just have the choke off, press the start button, and slowly wind on the choke until the bike fires, then leave it there for a few seconds while revving, then turn it off whilst keeping the revs up a bit.

but then again its only a moped Rolling Eyes

My GF keeps saying that, when will I learn?

Is WD40 suitable for cables?

WD40 should be okay for cleaning out any built up corrosion/grime. I'd follow the dose with 3 in 1.

No need to brag? It's not as if you need to have an IQ higher than 200 to operate a manual choke. Confused

Just another thing to go wrong and cost lots of money to replace. Wink

I put it on and go to start and i find iv'e used too much, i then let it rest and go back to it a bgit later and have another go, this time less choke and it floods again.

Yesterday i couldn't go out till a mate of mine rode round to start my bike for me. Embarassed

are you giving it loads of throttle aswell... you shouldnt have to give it any atall, just choke and it should go twist the throttle open while trying to start it and it will flood preety quick

oh and whosthedady, your confusing me with all the differant avatars! (although the current one does seem to be a rather lush ass Thumbs Up )

Turn the choke on if it wont start straight away, once it has been running for a minute turn the choke off before you even get on the bike. If you let the bike heat up before you strart to ride it you will be fine.

Like that bike. Looks like an old School GP racer in these colors.

I think a white rimstripping will look awesome on these wheels.
