PC problem

system.exe is running at 99-100% CPU all the time and I can't figure out how to stop it.
I've done all the usual anti-virus and spy ware checks and they've come up clean.

Any ideas?

system.exe sounds dodgy to me, could be the Mitglieder.B trojan. End the task and see what happens, it may freeze your computer so make sure you have saved everything in case you need to restart. If it works ok after you have the infection in which case it needs to be removed.

Another thing as to why it may not have been detected. Did you run the checks in normal mode or safe mode? I always run them in safe as it stops everything and ensures all infections can be cleaned properly.

If its xp then just restart and hold down F8.
