I have a sneaking suspicion that the dealer from whom I bought my bike did not do the full 15,000 mile service when I bought it from them. I dont have the time or tools to do the full job myself, and I dont want to take it back to them for obvious reasons. Can any one recommend a reliable and reasonably priced mechanic in Warrington or surrounding area? My bike has an old air cooled 4 cylinder kawasaki engine, so it shouldn't need a computerised diagnostic kit etc.

Davenports in StHelens, reccomended by many drinkers in the bell and barrel. Millenium are an official kawasaki dealer, but they charge £50 an hour.

If you give davenport the list of things which should have been checked/changed/adjusted, they should be able to check it over for you.

There's a place in haydock on piele rd, too.

Best Kawasaki mechanic I know is Les Hill, who is mobile. I'll try and get his number for you tonight.

Thanks for that. I like independant mechanics. I find the service they provide is better than huge dealerships.

Hiya,

Try SPOD as well, they're pretty good.

Millenium Motors in St Helens are excellent, but this is reflected in their £50 labour charge.

You could try my brother in Stockport, only 20 mins away.

He's a classic & Ducati specialist yet spends most of his time these days working on Japs.

He does all my servicing and he's been in the job over 30 years..

I can highly recommend Dave at Warrington Motorcycles.

He's a sound guy and always does a good job, he's honest too and they charge a fair price.
They can be contacted on 01925414141. Smile

Theres also a blooming good mechanic at Revolution Aprilia called John too. Smile

I heard it through the grapevine too, but someone I know works there, and hasn't heard anything.
