Decided I need some luggage for my bike (z750s), and noticed an OEM Kawasaki rack and 29L top box in their catalogue. Never seen one "in the flesh" myself. I'd prefer hard luggage to the soft stuff.

Has anyone? Any good? Is it easily detachable, like a Givi box? The price for the rack and top box (delivered) is about the same as I would pay for a Givi Monokey box alone.

The rack is built for Kawasaki by SW Motech (ALU RACK) but I have no idea who makes their top boxes. I could just buy the rack and get a Givi Monokey adapter plate from SW Motech if their boxes are crap. It appears I can also fit side rack to it in future if necessary.

I've folllowed the links and I'm very worried, having a top box with both racks look too weak and would probably break very quickly.

A topbox on its own is crap, makes the bike weave on decelleration frequently.
Had one on my XX, never again.

I had one on the bandit. Didnt realise what it did to the bike untill I took it off and realised how bad it was.

Now I just cargo net my backpack to my pillion seat on my bike.

Yeh i'd use sideboxes before a topbox, you can allways buy the box afterwards.. you can utilise the space behind you easy enough, the sides is a bit more tricky (being cooked by exaust, gets in the way getting on and off)

Tank bag is worth it too, not very often i'll need more than that personally...
