My CB125TDC Superdream does not have a side stand. I don't think it came with one! Does anyone know if i can get a side stand compatible with the bike? It's a bugger to get it on the centre stand! Confused

As far as I know it was an optional extra from the factory but I've nevver ever seen one with it fitted. I had one years ago and you're right, they're a bugger to put on the stand. If you can put one of them on the centre stand then you'll never struggle with any other bike!!
One thing you have to watch out for is that as you are putting the stand down, when you have done the heavy bit and pulled the bike back, as it "drops" onto the stand it puts a lot of pressure on the brackets and tends to stretch them. In time the holes that the centre stand spindle go thru will go oval. You stand will then go further than it should until you effectively have 2 sidestands, although you will still struggle to use them!. I seem to remember making thicker brackets for mine.

Hi

Fairly sure they came with one when new. If I am right then time to start trawling the breakers.

All the best

Ps i used to find it quite heavy getting it on the stand for a small bike, but i do generally prefer to leave bikes on centre. I get paranoid it will fall over on a side stand..

Mine was a 1982 model. BBA 99Y I think. I'd just had the thing rebuilt & someone robbed it from outside my house. Never saw it again....Can't think for the life of me why someone would want to steal one...

Hope this is of help, I have fitted a side stand bracket from a CB250 nighthawk (CB two fifty) and it bolts straight on to the bottom of the engine. I don't see why you could not use the stand as well. Smile

Well since he asked the question in 2006.... I suspect that it's no longer a problem for him. Or perhaps he read one of the other CB125 Super-Dream threads in which the matter of attaching CD-Benly or CM-Rebel 125/185/200/233 footrest brackets and cutting the foot-pegs off has been discussed quite frequently.

But welcome to the forum.
