Anyone ever used a set of Oxford Hot Hands? They're like heated grips, but they wrap around the grips instead. Looks like a good alternative that I can move from bike to bike. Anyone got any expierence/thoughts on them? Smile

Oxford hot hands sell for 24 squids on ebay. I got my hot grips for 29 squids from J&S. It has a thermostat control and it cannot be nicked if you leave your bike unattended for a few min. IMO, there is no contest at all. If you have several bikes, why not put it on just your winter hack?

Hi,

I did not like the look of hot hands as they looked quite bulky to hold and I did not want the hassle of putting them on and off. I have Oxford Hotgrips and I think they great.

Hi

Only problem with them is if you have small hands they are FAR bigger than conventional heated grips.

All the best

Yes. Apparently a bad batch. They must have skimped on quality control to meet with the winter demand. Kudos to them that are tackling the issue head on rather than claiming misuse etc.

Published in MCN (see here) at the start of December. Affects some of the products shipped to shops between 30th September 2005 and 29th November 2005 (all shops had been notified by 8th December 2005).

Personally, I wouldn't trust them to stay on.

The price you can get them for varies massively. From Ebay or most places online, you can get the hot hand wrap-around grips for £25-35, and hot grips for between £30-50. Heine Gericke sell hot hands for £45 and hot grips for 50! Mind you, while in CMC the other day, I saw they were selling some heated grips for £60. Shocked Sick
