right then,,
not only does my bike need new tyres it could do with a new chain,
Not sure about sprockets, they look ok,

tyres are gonna be Conti Road attacks, 129 quid off ebay, (BT020's and Avon AV45/46's give me about 6k miles)

as for chain Ive noticed the ones on ebay for about 80 quid off the german guy, Im sure you know the one, chain n sprockets for 80 quid,
I think the chain is O ring,

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/REGINA-Chain-kit-KAWASAKI-ZZR-1200-ZZR1200_W0QQitemZ8037131490QQcategoryZ10464QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

(for some reason I cant see my own ebay links, let alone other peoples)

I would rather have X ring or Z ring as there harder wearing than the O

my current chain has a stiff link, but the bikes dont 13000 miles and with it known for eating tyres and chains I thought ya know Smile

Does anyone know a good place to get cheep chains from ?
and also recomend a brand for me,
(please remember money IS an object and it needs to be under 100 quid, no more)

I got quite a good deal on chain and sprockets from www.mandp.com

052016 1 x 520.16 Front Sprocket £7.25
(Suzuki, GSXR 600, 2005 (K5))
049846 1 x 498.46 Rear Sprocket £16.75
(Suzuki, GSXR 600, 2000 (WY))
630108 1 x E/K X-Ring Chain 525MVXZx108 £59.00

Good quality kit - probably what your after - cheapest X-Ring I could find.

Thought about the regina kit myself for both the storm and yzf. However, I googled for chain advice and found literally no good things to say about Regina. Apparently their tensile strength is nowhere near as good as some other makes (D.I.D) and on a bike like a zzr1100, I would hazard a guess that it would not last long at all.

Could try the following:

www.wemoto.com
www.gear4bikes.com

And also try Cradley Kawasaki, (google it) and see what price they quote you.

Sorry as for not finding the ultimate cheap chain site but personally, I'd not buy a cheap set anymore. Having two chains snap on me, it's not a nice experience and twice I've been lucky.

You don't state if you JUST want a chain or both chain and sprockets. You could get a chain from wemoto and find OEM sprockets (apparently better as they don't wear down as quickly)

Hi

Cheapest place I have found for chains is Trade Direct in Sheffield. Think they charge ~£90 for an X ring gold chain and sprocket kit.

All the best

Keith

Busters will do an X-ring gold chain plus two sprockets for £85.

https://www.busters-accessories.co.uk/products.asp?id=54

I'd change the sprockets at the same time, even if they look ok - being part worn they'll accelerate the rate of wear on the new chain.
