I bought a red powerband off ebay. Makes me go 100mph!!!!11!!111 Very Happy Very Happy

Nah lol, its something like the rev range where the power really kicks in. 2 strokes apparently have very narrow but fierce powerbands...

It goes round your con rod and gives the bike a boost on higher revs.

You need to buy a tub of elbow grease to fit one though.

yea if you get the right model of powerband off ebay, then you should notice better preformance. standard powerbands are crap, but aftermarket ones are usually very good.

i think phantomtec was selling a powerband a while ago...

What you really need is one of THESE !

Combine that with the Powerband and it will be very difficult to keep the front down.

They're just playing with you.

A powerband is just a section of the rev range with particularly fierce power delivery... (For example, hitting 7000 revs on a GPZ you feel a massive boost of power)

It's not a physical component.

I didnt have enough top end out of my powerband, so I used a skirtingboard ladder to make it higher.

Laughing @ this thread...

In all seriousness though, the RS has two powerbands - one per cylinder.
Some people buy cast/ported and polished cylinders to utilise the powerbands properly.

Is it double strengthened?

It's probably best to let me borrow it, I don't want you to get hurt with all that extra power.

Thumbs Up
