anybody model?

now im not vain, im not gay, and im not a wierdo, but...
i was thinking about looking into doing modeling to some extent to bring in some extra money.

so is anybody out there a model?
what way did you get started, and what agency are you with?
what is the best and worst parts of it?
how much work do you get, and what sort of money?

i know that most agencies dont charge you anymoney for being on their books, but you that i might have to get professional photographs done at my own expence. how much would a photoshoot like that cost?

and do they do your hair and stuff for you, or do you have to pay for that too?

i know its a bit random, but well this is offtopic lol

Was programme called....I forgot (english version of 'Kenny Vs Spenny') where they had to raise as much money as possible.

One way was to be a model posing for gay porn. They did some usual porn shots; looking , sultry, then half naked, chap in hand and then some money shots

He was shown some previous 'clients' shots, not all donkeys apparently

I think he only got about £80 cah in hand, not bad for 30 minutes work?

For profesional photos/a portfolio your going to be looking at a couple of hundred notes unless you know anyone that can do good portrait photos.

Normally you would do your own hair etc, but you can get some assistance but this will generally cost a bit more too.

There is stupid amounts of money involved in hands and feets for photoshoots...one woman I know has to live in gloves for fear of wrecking her perfect hands etc!! Gets paid a lot of money tho for a shoot of her hands!

It's not worth it, no offence. I have a couple of friends that tried, one girl did a few photoshoots for a hair salon another person i know did some with his sister, it was a lot of hard work and didn't pay well at all. It's like anything really you either have to have good contacts, be the best of the best or just get lucky.

You will need a portfolio which to get done properly is very expensive, if your looking to make a quick buck then this is deffo not the way to do it.

A lot of people believe they're modelling material.
Myself and a mate used to work for a marketing/design agency a few years ago. One of the mates clients was a popular female clothes retailer and he had been organising photoshoots for them.
On one particularly messy night out after a day of boozing, he hadconvinced some bird that she was worthy of a photoshoot and that she had 'just the right look' they needed.
He had began talking to her and one thing lead to another.
This was about the same time as I was getting back from the toilet after throwing up the last 7 pints of stella and introducing myself.
He was a little bit more credible looking than myself but still a joke.
Never the less, on the Tuesday morning he gets a brown envelope in the post with pictures of this girl in various styles of dress, including a bikini shot which looked like it was taken in Southend! She was absolutely stinking. He still has the photos and 'covering letter' in thier original envelope as a trophy.
