At 16 you can't ride a 125.

It's good for 2 years, after a year you are entitled to ride a 125. Not before your 17th mind.

If you ask the place nicely, they may let you do the off road training bit on a 125.

As it was my 17th a few days later they allowed me to use a 125 on site, then a 50cc ped on the road Thumbs Up

Get a 50cc geared bike, lets u learn about road riding at a safe speed, so when that car pulls out infront off u when ur riding like a dick ur only doing 50mph and no 80mph... And u get used to gears and shit.

You can do your CBT (on a 50cc bike) at 16. It's valid for use with a 125cc bike, but only when you turn 17.

You can do a full moped test and get rid of the L plates too - the advantage behind that is that you'll get through the 2 year period where you loose your licence after 6 points by the time you're 18. You're unlikely to get many points for speeding on a 'ped.
