Just booked two day on track at Jerez in May with Track Sense.

We'll fly out on Friday 5th May, staying in a 4-star hotel next to the circuit. On the track on Saturday, day off for sight seeing etc on Sunday and then back on track Monday. Fly back Tuesday morning. Jeanette's coming with me (as my resident pit bitch / photographer) but not riding.

Cost wise: Tracktime £269, Hotel £280 (for two, for 4 nights), Flights £110 (for two), Bike Transport £219. Total cost £878.

Not cheap, but the circuit looks awesome and riding in the Spanish weather for two days should make it all worth while! Mr. Green Average temperature in May is 25 degrees which means I'll sweat buckets and probably be half the weight when I get back. Failing that, I'll probably stack it ten minutes into the first day! Laughing

Now I just need to record the MotoGP there at the end of next month and get studying the layout!

I've been toying with the idea of some spain track time. Just the cost of transporting the bike, i'm thinking about driveing, just ferrys cost a bomb for a car and trailer.

I looked at a few ways of doing it, and ended up going for the least amount of hassle option! I have to drop the bike off at Kemble (which is only about 30 miles from me) the Sunday before and pick it up the Sunday after.

The track time itself is reasonably priced. You could get three days on track for £329 which is pretty good and comparable to this country (considering it's an international circuit, and on the MotoGP calendar). It's everything else that costs the money!

Nice one! I'd love to ride Jerez, I could practise on motoGP good and proper.

Slight observation. You're the only person I've never met who has a girlfriend I feel I'm on first name terms with.

It would be easier, but it's £219 to ship my bike or £579 to hire one for the two days. It's expensive enough as it is for a trackday! Laughing
