is it me or dont americans know what body armour is for when your riding a bike, every video i see that is in america the riders are never wearing propper clothing then fall off and wonder why they dont have any skin left.

how the hell can anyone even think about riding without at least a jacket and a pair of gloves on they must not value their skin as much as i and other riders do

i dont wear a jacket or gloves but i ride a 50cc moped so there aint exacly gunna b much damage when i drop me helmet wid me head in it

im not sure bout the helmet thing because with in the first week of me being on the road some drunk man at bout 11 at night decided it b funny 2 smack me round the head and i wnet head first in 2 the floor fu**ing hert but wearing one pays off same as a jacket really and boots

I wore a jacket and gloves on my 50cc, mainly because one of my best friends was killed in a crash where he must of been traveling no more than 10mph on a moped. Ok so maybe the jacket and gloves couldnt of saved his life but it just makes me feel like im doing somthing to try and prevent myself from ending up like him.

the fact of the matter is youre 16 you think after about 6 months of riding the thing you've learnt every thing you know about it and smack you end up on the deck again it'll probably happen but i just hope not to soon lol

exactly a jacket cost about £50 and a pair of gloves about £20 wear as a skin graph gunna cost a hell of alot more and will leave some nice scares too , and if you wear leathers to the could end up saveing your life if your every put into a situation of needed them say 140+mph and you bail

i know im not one to preach when i had my 100cc scoota i didnt have a jacket instead i used a thick jacket i got from work but still i had gloves on

i also herd that if you wear demin/jeans and you come off on your bike the dye from the demin/jeans can get in your blood and give you blood poision or something long those lines

i got 2 admit i was lucky when i came off i was wearing no gloves and come out with only a few dep scratches on my finger lucky excape

It's only bloody February and we're discussing people wearing minimal protection, helmets and flip flops etc...........

We usually don't get the first post until June before the cries of "guess what I saw today" appear.

when my mate came off his bandit 600 doing 80mph he showed me his glove and the palm of it at torn right through so you could see his palm of his hand it was a good job he had on the gloves otherwise it would have been his hand looking like that instead of the glove

U get textile jackets as well, there nice and warm ( got a thermal cover inside ) and has nice pads ( normaly elbow and a shoulder pads ) built into it.

U get more respect from bikers and they dont think ur another chav, alough I did like riding on my 50cc like a lunatic with a hoody so people thought I robed it...... but now I no how ridiculous that must have looked/sounded...
