tank bags and camcorders

been thinking of getting a small tank bag so I can put my camcorder into it rather than in my backpack, obviously the camcorder will be attached to a bullet cam. Just wondering, is this a good idea? My main worry is that the stong magnets on the tank bag will not be very good for the electronics in the camcorder. Anyone know if this is the case?

Hi,

I use the baglux harness and tank bag on several bikes so no magnets to worry about. They also protect the tank and can stay on al the time.

You get harness for the bike and then a bag, the bags fit all the harnesses so you just change the harness when you change the bike.

Never had any problem with my camcorder in the tankbag. The magnets really aren't that strong, in fact the enginey *stuff* (technical term) is probably worse.

Hi,

On track days the Camera has gone under the seat and the bullet cam fed to the front somewhere.

Works OK, (use some padding) but not very handy !

It should be fine - I took two different ones on rapid European tours over 10 day periods with no problems.
Even droppped the bike and it was OK!
You need to be careful abotu damp creeping in though.
Have some plastic freezer bags folded up in the bottom so if you get caught in a real downpour you can seal it in one.
