There have been a couple "what do you wear when commuting" threads over the last year or so.

This one is a little different because I would like to concentrate on gear you can wear every day, in most weathers and come out at the end of both commutes a day relatively fresh with minimal change time.

I currently wear an EDZ undersuit with leather bottoms and a textile jacket. This obviousley requires getting change at either end and a bit of freshening up cause im a bit of a sweaty bugger!

Anyone out there manage to get to work with shirt n trousers with gear on over the top? Do you smell for the rest of the day Wink ?

I've just got one of these on a two week trial:

Seems ok so far, but not as quick to get on as I hoped. Will see how it goes over the next couple of weeks.

An old leather jacket, sometimes over-trousers, old Dainese gloves (with undergloves sometimes), balaclava, old Shark lid, Sidi Black Rain Evos.

Takes 2 mintues to get geared up/down, which doesn't add that much to my 20 mile each-way ride.

Even though I probably look a bit of a bum this time of year (what with riding a 30 year old 250 scrambler which is probably worth about £20) I surprisingly don't smell too bad.

G do you wear it over the top of whatever work gear you use? Looks a bit like that Aerostitch Roadcrafter effort.

In this crapper weather I literally want to jump on the bike and get to work and start working - pretty much. Summer time I don't mind leaving earlier and getting home later.

I do wear it over the top, but work clothing is old jeans and what ever I grab off the top off the pile Smile.

It is like an aerostitch suit.

I just wear my textile trousers, tshirt, hoody and my jacket.

The textiles are comfortable enough to wear all day and I can just set the jacket aside.

And no, I don't think I stink after my ride.

I wear some HG textiles over my jeans and T-shirt and I don't have a problem with sweating (although with the weather starting to warm....) takes two mins to take them off sitting at my desk. Will probably swap for leathers in the summer Thumbs Up

textile jacket, leather jeans

gloves & boots vary depending how cold it is.

Generally I stink after riding. The trick to commuting smell-free for me is to not get too dressed up, keep some airflow going and generally be very relaxed.

Sounds like you need a car. You can jump in at 3am in your dressing gown and go down the garage and get something to eat without having to get changed. Cool

Thats pretty much what I'm having to do at the moment. I can fit my shirt and trousers under my pillion seat and leave my shoes in work. It still involves getting changed though Rolling Eyes.

Hein Gericke all season suit.

Wear jeans and tshirt underneath, get bath before I go, put on deodorant, don't smell when I get into work.

I just remove the winter lining in the summer, that's when I start getting changed in work.

Sorry I can't really add to the discussion but since I'm just returning to bikes after a fifteen or twenty year absence have been looking at gear meself. Am over here in Ireland and wondering whether anyone's any experience with either Wulf over suits (2 piece) or the Akito stuff. If so - how does it shape up at all? Can find a good bit on the web regarding akito but any wulf search I do just seems to bring up motocross links??? This kit is cordura and armoured Question

I am unaware of any odours that I may be producing after riding the bike in leathers as people may be too polite to mention:oops:

My hands do definitely smell of 'bike' or 'petrol' after riding.

Am abit concerned of smells and sweating with the summer coming up, I seem to break out underarm wetness at the slightest raise in temp

i wear a GTC Sport textile jacket if its raining, or my Hein G. PSXII leather jacket, my J.A.G. boots, and if its raining some waterproofs over my trousers. i dont get sweaty because i dont wear any clothes underneath, i can with stand the cold alot. When its been really cold, i still get hot on the bike and need to unzip my jacket.
