Had a crap day today, riding into work, half term, dry road, mucho throttle when all of a sudden bam, front end went wobblier than Biances Butt Shocked Talk about crap myself the skid mark was a mile long and that was nothing to do with the tyres Embarassed

A lucky escape !!!

Anyhow, after I pulled myself together I pushed the bike about 500 yards to a layby and called the missus, when she arrived I got her to drop me at Homebase and picked up a thing of tyre weld stuff, got back whacked it in and started heading towards town and hopefully get the thing repaired properly. Only about 3 miles out so no big deal.

1 mile later flat as a fart again, what a waste of £7 Mad

So pissed off I thought stuff it and crawled along the bicycle lane at 5 MPH until I got to town and the nearest bike shop. Fair play they dropped what they were doing and pulled me into the shop, spent a 1.5hrs stripping, cleaning out the gunge and fixing it, only problem was they hadn't got a road rated tube, only some tubes marked "Not for Highway Use" in big f'k off writing, but being stuck I told them to stick one in for now anyway.

So 2.5hrs late for work and £37 worse off, I wasn't too chuffed Mad

What a day Exclamation Rolling Eyes

Luckily no, but the tyre and tube will need changing as soon as I can afford it. So for the time being going to have to keep it steady as the back is nearly gone too so next month is going to be expensive Sad
